• wood source
  • A possible 3 stars are given for no illegal timber (as designated by Greenpeace Good Wood Guide) (1), sustainable or part sustainable timber used (1) and finally certification that 100% of the wood used is sustainable (1).
• workshop practices
  • A possible 3 stars are given for good labour practices (as defined by International Labour Organisation) (1), workshop regulation (i.e. EU standards or equivalent area of developed regulation) (1), and finally whether we have visited the workshop to see with our eyes what happens there (1).
• transportation
  • A possible 3 stars are given for non- airfreight transportation (1), if it is carbon balanced (1) or if it both originates in the UK and is also carbon balanced (1).
